Ten Months...!

Holy Moly. We've hit double digits! In two more quick months, we will have a 1 year old!

Stats:  Beckett is now 23lbs and 2  ounces and 30 3/8" tall. He still has the biggest, sparkling grey blue eyes, and his blonde peach fuzz hair is getting thicker every day! His hair is finally laying down and getting thicker by the second! The new growth is white blonde, so he kind of looks bald on his cowlick on the back of his head, but it's just very, very light colored hair! We moved him into size 4 diapers and have been happy we did! As far as clothes go, he's in 6-9 month H&M clothes, 12 months in Burts Bees and 12-18 month in everything else. We aren't buying anything than 18 month sizes moving forward. He wears a size 2-3 shoe, and has been wearing wither 6-12 month and 12-18 month size Robeez.  (which we LOVE!) He only has one tooth, still, but is cutting the matching fang and the bottom two.. we think!

Food: We have such a great eater! Since the last few weeks have been super hectic with the move and all, he's back on the pouches and jars. We love Earth's Best Organic (3s) and Beechnut organics. Some of the fruit purees are so good, i'd even eat them! He has started to eat table food as well- he loves tortillas, rice, yams, bread, turkey, chicken, peas, pasta, basically anything we will give him! We only have one tooth still, so its hit and miss with the 'real' food! He also loves his Mum-Mums, HappyPuffs to work on his hand eye coordination, and he LOVES them. He also loves mushed up bananas, avocado, and apple. He's been using a straw now for quite some time (oh hey life skill!) so he can drink his water. He still gets milk in the morning and nap time and right before bed, but we have begun supplementing with formula. A growing boy is hard to keep full! He also loves frozen cubes of food in his Sassy Teething Feeder! (His fav? Cinnamon apples and banana/peach or banana/pineapple!)

 Sleep:
Still hit and miss with the sleeping all night thing. We have started a combination of the crying it out method and the sleep lady shuffle in hopes that the little sir will learn to sleep and put himself back to sleep. The last month has been really hard on all of us with the move and family visits, so now that we are settled, we are hell bent on getting him back in his routine. He has been taking longer early afternoon naps (like 2-3 hours!) and then a quick nap in the late afternoon. He has started sleeping more on his side (like his momma!) and with a lovey. We are literally trying everything make him feel safe and comfortable!

 Awake Time: He's crawling all over the place and pulling up on everything.. he's even 'walking' around his Room2 and the couch/ ottoman. He's quite the speedster in his Joovy Spoon Walker. (Which I love and it also doubles as a 'high' chair!) He's still the best shopping buddy, and is even a great companion out to dinner! He loves to 'read' (or eat his books) and still lets us read to him before bedtime! We can pretty much get him to laugh on cue and he babbles up a storm! He LOVES to swing at the park, and is totally into visiting the ducks at the pond on our daily walks. He does have a cranky hour (around 4pm) so thats my cue for snacks and a walk!

Personality: Beckett is such a joy. I think all parents say that about their kids, but I don't think anyone would disagree with me! He smiles all the time, laughs, giggles, and gives good hugs and kisses. You can just see the love he has for everyone in his face. He will also caress (or slap!) your face in the most loving manner! He likes to clap for himself, and makes funny noises with his mouth and hand. He babbles and sings, a lot. He really loves his music! He is quite the risk taker, but is still not 100% sure of himself on his feet- but he will crawl off a ledge if you let him! He still loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates and will even hum along to the theme song! He loves being around people- the more the better! He is still really good with the iPad games and his interactive toys. We even bought him this Little Tikes Discover Sounds Workshop and he learned to just it the button instead of dropping the ball in it! Little stinker! He has even learned to stand on said toy to see over the top of his play yard. Never a dull moment over here! And even if he pretends to hate it, he still lets me dress him up! 

Firsts and Milestones!

 Took his 3rd flight! Moved to Texas! Celebrated his first Thanksgiving! Starting eating real table food! Took a road trip from Houston to Dallas successfully! Finally got to take a bath in a real bathtub! Went to his 1st Christmas Affair with me and his Momadear! Celebrated his first Saint Nicholas Day! Met Santa, twice (!) with no tears! Moved into his first house! Had a watch party for the #BaylorBlackout with his Momadear! Visitied his Uncle Nic at his new studio in East Austin. Celebrated his first Thanksgiving! Had real Texas BBQ with his Papa John! Experienced lots of TexMex. Got to spend lots of quality time with his Granddaddy and Little Momadear, and family!

I cannot belive what a big boy you are becoming, Beckett. You joy is contagious and you are the best thing in our life. We are so lucky you are ours! I hear you singing right now, so I won't say much more then we love you and can't wait to see what the next month holds!
