Im blogging today as a participant of BvB Austin, a powder puff football charity event supporting the Alzheimer's Association, Capital of Texas chapter. As part of a nationwide network, the Capital of Texas chapter provides help and hope to over 50,000 individuals- including those diagnosed, their families, and caregivers. As an organization, we bring together young Austin professionals and each individual is responsible for reaching their personal goal of fundraising, with an overall goal of raiding $75,000. Many of our participants have been personally touched by Alzheimer's and the stories we share ignite our passion to go the extra mile.
As a participant, I am asked to raise $500 or more to donate to this great cause. You can help by purchasing a ticket to the game, raffle tickets for the chance to win a new MINI Cooper, as well as our social events leading up to it. During the season we will host events including a Homecoming Kick-Off party and the second Annual 4th and Goal Gala. Game Day is scheduled for May 14th and is guaranteed to be a great battle.
