11 Months... Seriously, how has it almost been a year?!
Stats:
Beckett is now 24lbs and 1 ounce and 30 1/2" tall. He still has the biggest, sparkling grey blue eyes, and his blonde peach fuzz hair is getting thicker every day! His hair is finally laying down and getting thicker by the second! The new growth is white blonde, so he kind of looks bald on his cowlick on the back of his head, but it's just very, very light colored hair!  It's almost time for a trim, but I think we are just going to let it grow because its so damn cute We just push it back behind his ears so he doesn't look like he needs a cut! He's still in size 4 diapers, but in my opinion, he could totally move up, but I think he's going to stay in 4s for a little while longer. As far as clothes go, he's in 6-9 month H&M clothes and 12-18 month in everything else. We aren't buying anything than 18 month sizes moving forward. He wears a size 3ish shoe, (or 4/5 in moccs) and has been wearing either 6-12 month and 12-18 month size Robeez.  (which we LOVE!) He now has 5 (5!!!!) teeth! 2 on the bottom and 3 up top!
Food:
We have such a great eater! Basically you can put anything in front of him and he'll eat it. We finally weaned him off breast milk (tear!) because I wasn't able to keep up. It lasted almost 11 months, and I think that's pretty great. He takes a bottle of formula or unsweetened enriched rice milk instead. He gets oatmeal (apple cinnamon or blueberry banana) for breakfast, served warm. Don't you dare serve that room temp! haha He will eat a stage 3 pouch (Sprout organic, Earth's Best, Plum Organic, Happy Tots) or a Stage 3 Jar (Earth's Best, O Organics) for lunch or dinner, or get a little of whatever we are eating. He loves fresh tortillas, chicken, turkey, broccoli, rice pilaf, homemade chicken soup and fruit pouches. He also has been eating yogurt drops, and any other sweet, organic snacks I can find! He may or may not have his mother's sweet tooth. He still takes a 9 oz bottle before bedtime and 6oz around 2am and nap time.
Sleep:
If Beckett weren't so damn cute, i'd be really mad that he doesn't sleep through the night, but I really love the cuddles when he comes into bed between 2-5am, so whatever. I think he hates his room or his bed, or sleeping. We can't decide. Sleep training was going really well and then we took a weekend trip to Houston, and well, threw him off. Every good night is met with a weekish of bad nights. He goes down at 8:15ish, and sleeps anywhere from 3 hours to 6 hours and wakes up. Gets a bottle, and goes back down (hopefully) in his crib, or in bed with us and he will usually sleep until 7 or 8am. He naps in the mid morning/ early afternoon, and late afternoon around 3:30pm.
Awake Time:
He's crawling all over the place and pulling up on everything and stands up all over the place.. even in bed and on the couch. He's quite the speedster in his Joovy Spoon Walker- you'd be surprised how good he is at maneuvering that thing! He's still the best grocery shopping buddy, and is even a great companion out to dinner! He loves to 'read' (or eat his books) and still lets us read to him before bedtime! (Nicholas the Bunny Book- 'I am A Bunny' is still his favorite!) We can pretty much get him to laugh on cue and he babbles up a storm! He LOVES to make silly noises with his mouth (he's literally doing that as I type!) He LOVES to swing at the park, and is totally into visiting the ducks at the pond on our daily walks. He does have a cranky hour (around 4-5pm) so thats my cue for snacks and a walk!
Personality:
Beckett is such a joy. He seriously smiles all the time, laughs, giggles, and gives good hugs and kisses (although over New Years he 'kissed' me by biting my chin really hard!). You can just see the love he has for everyone in his face. He will also caress (or slap!) your face in the most loving manner! He likes to clap for himself, and makes funny noises with his mouth and hand. He babbles and sings, a lot. He really loves his music! He is quite the risk taker, but is still not 100% sure of himself on his feet- but he will crawl off a ledge if you let him! He still loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates and will even hum along to the theme song and 'talks' along to Curious George and the Bubble Guppies! He loves being around people- the more the better! He is still really good with the iPad games and his interactive toys. He really loves more interactive games and toys, so there is no shortage of musical instruments, trains, building blocks and gadget-y toys here! He really loves his activity garden and Pirate Ship his Momadear got him for Christmas, even if he crawls up the slide and out the window! He really loves Molly and he thinks both Molly and Bailey are HILARIOUS. Sometimes he just watches them walk around and giggles.. and he thought my brothers rescue dog Teemo was the funniest thing when he was eating. It was so cute! He does have a little bit of a temper when he is mad, it's cute, for now!
Firsts and Milestones!
Where do we start?! He took his first steps yesterday! The day before he turned 11 months! Your first Christmas Tree, Christmas Eve, and Christmas! Your first football game (the Cotton Bowl at AT&T Stadium in Arlington). You celebrated your first New Years eve! You went to Top Golf and got to meet and pose with Bruiser the Bear (the Baylor mascot for all you non Baylor folk) and the 2 Big XII Football Championship trophies! You started taking (small) steps, and stand on your own, all the time.
