so thanksgiving was wonderful. as usual. we packed up the dogs and headed to houston for the holiday. we split our time on the 25th between CLs parents and my moms. there was tons of food, family, and fun. this year we had a small group, so we actually put the food on the table. i dont think that has ever happened.

friday we went and visited with CLs grandma (Gaw) then met aunt kari, claudia, & dominic, who were in town!!, for lunch before claudia caught her flight back to FSU! it was so great to see them and i can't wait til christmas where (hopefully!) we will get to see them again!

we spent the remainder of the weekend helping with christmas decorations, catching up with friends, and replacing the alternator on the tahoe. we even got to spend some more time with andy & his adorable girlfriend kelly! i hope you all had a great holiday weekend!

my editorial debut!!

so for a while now (since july) i've had an editorial internship with Austin Monthly Home Magazine here in Austin. I love it! Anyways, I've had the opportunity to work with some amazing people, designers, and architects- which is amazing. my editor, HT, is the best. i did so much work on a feature that she gave me credit for it! i was thrilled! usually interns don't get credit for the work they do, so this was both a shock and reward! and not only did i get credit, but I was mentioned as a contributing writer! baller!!

last night CL and I were invited (vip i may add) to the austin monthly cool issue launch party and of course the home magazine launch too! i was SO thrilled to throw open the magazine and see my name appear on those glossy pages!

Hope you all had a great thanksgiving! Sorry i've been MIA.. i've been out of town aaaaaand I got a new computer! that means lots more blogging.. partially because i can see the screen better (its huge!) and partially because this new machine is SO fast! ahh love it!

its touch screen-- how cool is that?! i know i sing apple's praises, but for the size, price, and cool stuff it comes with (especially memory and hard drive) it is worth every penny! i still have my macbook pro and will continue to use it when i travel, etc., but this will be my new primary computer! woo hoo!

warrior dash!

last saturday was the day! warrior dash!

after weeks of "training", CL and I made it!

It was SO much fun!

it was 3.2 miles of mud, dirt, hay, ups, downs, and fun!

it was all fun and games til the end when in CL's words, 'thats how i operate', i busted my butt and tore up my knee and majorly sprained my ankle. but have no fear.. with a little laughter i got up and made it across the finish line!

oh babies!

so if my friends and family aren't engaged and getting married, they are having babies! both my cousin nicole (and jonathan) and my boss claudia (and matt) both delivered beautiful babies this weekend! it was the best surprise finishing warrior dash (will blog about that later!) and checking my phone to see two beautiful baby photos in my text message inbox!
