It's been so beautiful out, so yesterday CL and I decided it was high time to take Beckett to his first sporting event! 
Luckily we caught the second to last Stanford Baseball home game! We headed to Palo Alto nice and early and did a little shopping before the game! (psh. did you really think we'd really go to a game and not all get new clothes? haha!)

 Stanford campus is really beautiful! The ballpark is nice and open- no shaded areas, but nice and collegiate none the less!

  We stayed for 7 innings before calling it a day. It was getting a little warm for Mr.B in the sun!

Have you ever seen a cuter baby?! And check out that drool!! ha!

  We had a great time and can't wait to take him to another game! Hopefully it will be a Baylor football game! ;)

GoPro Sonoma Grand Prix 2013

A few weekends ago, we headed up north to Sonoma for the GoPro Sonoma Grand Prix. No lie, I was totally excited about going to an Indy car race. I had never been, and its way classier than Nascar, so I was totally in.    Colby's company, Barracuda Networks sponsors two cars (Indy and GTs), so, you bet your ass they had a huge party at the race. Barracuda parties are the best. The Cuda Lounge is always off the chain.. open bar, yummy food, AC, fancy port-a-potties, and shade. I mean, I didnt get to partake in the open bar being almost 4 months prego, but you know, everyone else did. haha.   We had a sick view of the track from the Cuda lounge, so there was no need to leave the whole time we were there.

The first race was the Pirelli World Challenge GTs Race. Barracuda recently sponsored Brandon Davis, and lo and behold, he took 1st place! It was really exciting! I mean, in an Aston Martin, its hard not to get excited about winning a race!

 

The main even started a couple hours later. It was cool to see drivers like Dario Franchitti and Helio Castroneves race live. The cars really fly past you.   The Barracuda car #98 didn't win, but after a small mishap, our driver was able to get back into the thick of the race and finish 2 spots higher than where he started. 

 

 

 

 

 

We had a great time and i'll definitely be looking to go back next year!

A year ago today...

A year ago I married my best friend. On a B E A- UTIFUL spring Austin Day, we had the most beautiful wedding. It really was the best. day. ever. To my husband of a year; Colby I love you more and more every day. I cannot even begin to tell you how proud I am to be your wife. This year has brought us closer together and I know that life threw us some curve balls that have only made us stronger as a couple. From new jobs, to new states, this year has been one fun adventure. We have gotten to experience a lot of new things together and a lot of fun things. I can only imagine what kind of fun we will get into this next year and the tons that follow.

You have supported us through thick and thin, and for that I am grateful. You are holding true to all the vows and promises that were said in front of our family and friends on May 12, 2012. I cannot wait to (someday) start a family with you, if you are half the dad that you are husband, your going to be the best dad. I am truely blessed and proud to be your wife and I love you with all my heart. Here's to many more happy years and the next BEST YEAR EVER!   Happy 1st Anniversary Colby! Weekend Shenanigans

Happy Monday, ya'll! Hope you all had a great weekend! I sure did! It may not have been the weekend I had planned, but it sure was fun!   I'm linking up with Sami's Shenanigans again!(Welcome if you're new! I'm glad your here!)

one. bunches in los gatos. they have the most beautiful flowers. and yes, those are real. two. the arrival of my brother! he came to visit with his girlfriend lauren! we spent Friday poolside with margaritas! three. dinner with everyone! me & cl, lauren & nic, and veronica & mike. #family four.  our 1st anniversary card & gift! (separate post coming on this!) five. picnic in the park. yes thats champs. six. we drove down the crooked part of lombard street, again. its still silly fun! seven. giants/dodgers game at att park! easily one of my favorite places in SF. thanks mom!! eight. a cold sunday in santa cruz after a hike. it was SO windy and cold! nine. a late lunch at seabright brewery in santa cruz. it was so good!
This is a hectic week coming up for CL and I- lots of fun stuff planned for our anniversary next weekend! I can't wait to share the surprises!

Weekend Shenanigans

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend! I figured this week was as good as any to start documenting my weekends on more of a weekly basis! I'm linking up with Sami over at Sami's Shenanigan's !

 

one. Oh target. shopping for kids gifts has never been more fun. In case you can't read that, it says ASS. haha. two. Friday night car dancing party. we may not get mexican food here, but we still get the music. three. Benjamin Cash's 1st birthday party! he is the sweetest little boy! also, kids parties are fun, even if you don't have kids! four. my husband is a kid magnet. he loves them, they love him. he's going to be a great dad someday! five. the best way to spend a Saturday afternoon? poolside with a cool beer. tory. and your monogrammed towel, duh. six. i finally took CL to the Ranch 99 Market. And im sorry,  but no matter how mature you are, Geoducks are funny. seven. date night. we'd so rather cook for each other then spend tons of money on the same meal in a restaurant. this time? seared scallops! eight. starting my last day of unemployment (yes! i got job! details coming!) with some delicious chocolate chip waffles and fresh strawberries. we may not have had syrup (oops) but we did have chocolate chips. and they were delicious.  nine. soaking up the last minutes of the weekend poolside. I am loving the sunshine and warm weather!
We may not have had a super entertaining weekend, but it was just perfect! The next couple weekends are jam packed and I can't wait to share with you, but just not yet!

week (end) update.

i love spontaneous date nights. and CL and I are now to the point, where we can afford to start enjoying the city a little more every now and then. he won tickes to the B-52s, and even though i was in a bad mood, we made a night of it! we grabbed some tex mex before the show on 6th then headed to stubbs! 

  a few things i did not know that night that i wish i would have.

#1. ALWAYS check the weather before you attend an event outside. A cold front may blow through and you may freeze in your cute outfit. 

#2. the B-52s have a HUGE gay following. it was pretty rad.

#3. just dance. we are going to make fun of you regardless if you know what you are doing, or if you look like your seizing.

then on Friday after design excellence, CL headed to dinner at tenOak. we were already in town, so we figured we'd make a night of it! we split a pizza and just enjoyed being out. we were going to head home, but i insisted on checking out hangar lounge before we headed home. hangar has one of the best views (in my opinion) of downtown. the weather was crisp and cool and it was great being out, having a few drinks, and just relaxing.

the rest of the weekend we just relaxed and prepped for our engagement photos that were supposed to be sunday afternoon. but alas, the damn weather. it actually RAINED, so we have to reschedule! lame. hopefully the weather will cooperate next weekend!!

Last weekend, CL and I had the best time at our engagement party. My mom was so generous to host this event for us, and all our family and friends came and shared in our excitement for our upcoming marriage. We were surrounded by such love and support, and we really enjoyed every moment! The food was amazing (yummy pappasitos!), the cake, well you'll see the cake-- it speaks for itself!, and the company was beyond amazing. We are truly blessed!
