Eight Months.

How in the world is it possible for us to have an 8 month old?!
Stats:
Beckett is now  21lbs 4.5 ounces and 30"(!) tall. (We don't go to the dr until November, so I had to measure and weigh him myself!) He still has the biggest, sparkling blue eyes, and his blonde peach fuzz hair is getting thicker every day! His hair is finally starting to lay down a tiny bit but still stands up in the back! Still in size 3 diapers but we are going to move up to size 4 for the next diaper order and is in 4-6 and 6-9 month H&M clothes, 6-9 in Burts Bees and 9-12 month in everything else. We aren't buying anything smaller then a 12 month size moving forward. He's really tall and thin so, finding pants that are long enough are still a little big. He wears a size 2 shoe (NO hard soles! He's not walking, babies need softer soles! I hate hate hate seeing babies in hard soled shoes! They're too heavy!) He has a pair of Minnetonka Moccasins booties which I adore, and some Emu Baby booties which are totally adorable too!

Food:
Someone loves his food! We have such a great eater! I started making his food for dinner and unless we are out and about, he doesn't get the pouches anymore. (They are still great and we didn't stop giving them to him for any reason more then I wanted to make his food! They are great for dinners out!) He really likes sweeter foods (who doesn't) but is getting used to more savory things as we keep trying. I made him roasted carrots and mango, roasted cinnamon apples, roasted banana and blueberries, roasted broccoli carrots and mango, potatoes, spinach and roasted pears, and roasted acorn squash with fresh herbs. For dinner he gets two scoops of rice cereal and a veggie or fruit of his choice! He's also been getting two scoops of cereal for lunch, which he quite enjoys! He also loves his Mum-Mums and we just started giving him some HappyPuffs to work on his hand eye coordination, and he LOVES them. Note to self, never leave the house without puffs! He still gets milk in the morning and nap time and right before bed.
Sleep:
Woo! Sleep! And lots of it! After some trying nights, and trying to cry it out, we found out that Beckett, like his mom and dad is a belly sleeper. One night he was just miserable so i turned him over, and not only did he go to sleep within seconds, he SLEPT THE REST OF THE NIGHT. He now goes down to sleep on his back and around 3-4 hours later, we find him flipped over sleeping on his belly. Minus one or two wake ups he has been routinely been sleeping through the night! 8:30pm-7/8am! Hallelujah! He's also taking a 2-2.5 hour nap in the morning around 10am, and an afternoon cat nap or two (around 45 mins).
check out that drool..

 Awake Time:
How fun is having an 8month old?! We can actually play with him now! He still has independent play in his baby jail Joovy Room 2 Playard which we love! It's so big and safe, and he just LOVES it!  He still loves his OBall play center, which has become the afternoon poop promter. I swear every afternoon/ early evening we put him in there, he poops! He is now crawling and pulling up on everything and standing up, so nothing is off limits to him now. No lie. baby proofing and watching his every move is my #1 priority these days.  He love toys that make noise, and his Momadear sent him some new fun toys that he LOVES. Lots of moving parts and music and lights! If  his toys don't make sounds he knocks them on something and makes noise himself. He also gets really excited all the time and flails his arms and squeals. He's found his voice and it's totally adorable. Every time he learns something new, my heart bursts with joy. He is so proud of himself which just makes my cup overflow.
 Personality:
What a little flirt! Beckett is always smiling, laughing, and batting his baby blue eyes! And now that he has learned to wave? Oy. Heart breaker alert!! He has the worlds sweetest giggle and the older he gets, the more he finds things funny! He has also found out that if he whines or fake cries long enough, i'll come pick him up..haha. He still gets totally excited when he hears the FaceTime ring.  He loves splashing  during bath time. I can't wait until we have a bathtub so he can really go wild! He 'dances' and 'sings' to music and uses one of his toys to use as a microphone/trumpet (video below) and it's the cutest thing! He hugs you when you hug him and he totally lights up when Da Da comes home from work every.single.day. It's so sweet! He also lets me out on goofy hats on him, which I LOVE so thats fun too!

Firsts and Milestones!
CRAWLING! More food that he has to 'chew' including Mu-Mums and HappyPuffs! Pulling up and standing on his own! He attended my 10K race. He says Da Da now! Rooted his Baylor Bears to a record of 5-0! Can work his baby games on my iPad all by himself and knows that if he touches the screen that something happens! Learned to wave and sleep through the night! His first black eye (He fell over on a toy, it was harder on me then it was on him!) Pulled down his firefly mobile and was 'fishing' with it when I got to him after a nap. First trip to the ER with his Daddy (i'll fill ya in later!). First brunch date with his buddy Cole (and his Momma and Daddy!) He also attended his first dinner party for his Auntie Carmen's birthday!
